Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and a therapist work collaboratively to deliver high-quality mental health care across the Cayman Islands. Each provider brings extensive clinical experience and a shared commitment to compassionate, ethical, and personalised care. Our coaching services are delivered by an ICF credentialed coach, who follows the ICF’s standards of ethics and confidentiality. Our support team is committed to maintaining a respectful and confidential environment for all patients and clients at BHAC.

Dr. Marc Lockhart

CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

Marc Lockhart has been a practicing consultant psychiatrist in the Cayman Islands for over 25 years. He received his Doctor of Medicine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is a fluent Spanish speaker. His Psychiatry Residency training was completed at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He is the Medical Director of Behavioral Health Associates Cayman (BHAC) and is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at The Health Services Authority where he manages clinical duties for HMP Fairbanks and Spanish language services. He has recently assumed the role of Clinical Director, Poinciana Rehabilitation Centre.

He has extensive experience in administrative and community psychiatry, having served on the Health Practice Commission as Deputy Chairperson, The National Drug Council as a member, and The Mental Health Commission as its first Chairman. He was recently appointed as the Chairperson of the Poinciana Mental Health Advisory Council which oversees the management and program development of the Cayman Islands 54-bed psychiatric rehabilitation facility. Throughout his career, he has passionately advocated for those with severe mental illness receiving equitable and dignified care. He contributed to the design of Poinciana Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) which received the international honor for best mental health facility design by the European Healthcare Design Congress in June 2025.

Dr. Lockhart received the honour of Emerging Pioneer from the Cayman Islands Government in 2015 for health services. He was selected as an honorary Rotarian in October 2024 and has a deep passion for his community. He frequently participates in community presentations and gives talks on mental health systemic challenges and solutions for improvement. His ongoing initiatives include reducing stigma around mental illness and increasing access to resources for those with the least, the last and the lost in our society.

Dr. Susanne Neita

CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

Dr. Susanne Neita is a consultant psychiatrist in private practice, providing comprehensive and thoughtful mental health care to patients across a broad range of psychiatric presentations. 

Her clinical work includes the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), trauma-related conditions, sleep difficulties, cognitive disorders including dementia, and alcohol and substance use disorders. Dr. Neita places strong emphasis on careful diagnostic assessment, collaborative treatment planning, and evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs and circumstances. 

In addition to clinical care, Dr. Neita has experience in forensic psychiatric assessment and the preparation of independent psychiatric reports for legal, occupational, and insurance contexts. This work includes capacity evaluations and expert clinical opinions prepared with attention to detail, objectivity, and clarity. 

Dr. Neita is committed to providing care in a respectful and supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and at ease. She works with patients to help them feel better, function well in daily life, and move toward lasting positive change.

Dr. Jo-Anne Brathwaite-Drummond

CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

Dr. Brathwaite-Drummond obtained her bachelor of medicine/ bachelor of surgery (M.B., B.S.) from UWI Mona in 1997. After gaining experience in primary care and emergency medicine in Jamaica, she returned to Barbados in 2003. She continued service in emergency medicine and geriatrics for two years. She then undertook and completed a Doctorate of Medicine in Psychiatry at UWI Cave Hill in 2009. Dr. Brathwaite-Drummond also holds a Masters in Public Health with the University of Liverpool since 2011.

She has served in the field of mental health care for 20 years, 13 of which were as a community-based consultant psychiatrist treating patients across the lifespan. Dr. Brathwaite-Drummond was also an associate lecturer in psychiatry with the UWI for many years, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate programme.

Dr. Brathwaite-Drummond is a passionate advocate for those with mental health conditions and is eager to contribute to the Cayman Islands’ health system.

Xenia Sotiriou

THERAPIST

Xenia Sotiriou has a B.A. (Hons) in Human Communication and Psychology, an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and an Advanced Diploma in Counseling from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. Xenia has a PhD in Organizational Psychology where she used Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) tools to understand group and individual dynamics.

Xenia has extensive experience as a therapist working with adults on issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and grief to name a few. As a therapist, Xenia is responsive to the needs of individuals and as a result utilizes a number of therapeutic techniques stemming from Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy. Xenia is committed to helping individuals overcome personal difficulties by helping them identify repetitive patterns of behavior that are contributing to their current experience. Xenia feels strongly about taking a systemic approach in order to help individuals recognize how interactions between self-and-other(s) as well as self-to-self can influence an individual’s experience and exacerbate negative emotional experiences. Xenia provides individual, family and couples therapy.

Heather Lockhart

CERTIFIED LIFE COACH

Heather Lockhart, Certified Life Coach, is a Coach U Graduate. Heather is certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She supports clients who want to create positive change in their lives by assisting them to develop powerful action and strategy plans. As a PCC credentialed coach with 13 years of coaching experience, Heather works with sales professionals, business owners, and executives to assist them to achieve their goals. Areas of interest for many of her clients include time management, productivity, and work-life alignment. Before becoming a coach, Heather attended Ohio State University, and worked in corporate sales, sales management, and marketing. The common thread in her career has always been helping others to reach their full potential. Services include individual coaching, group and workshops.  Heather is the Chief Operating Officer of BHAC, and the owner of The Clarity Hub, a BHAC company.  She has lived in the Cayman Islands for over 20 years.

Charmaine Elias

ADMINISTRATOR

Charmaine Elias is an experienced Administrator with extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, financial management, and leadership. BHAC’s Administrator, Charmaine oversees all day-today clinical operations, and is focused on maintaining a patient-centered environment. Charmaine has been with BHAC since the formation of the company in 2013, is an essential part of the management team, and is an expert in clinical administration. Prior to joining BHAC, Charmaine spent six years at Doctors Hospital, formerly CTMH. in roles that included managing the business office, and as Coordinator of the CTMH Specialist Clinic. Charmaine is a qualified medical assistant and has formal training in billing and coding. She is also a certified Psychiatric Technician and is qualified to administer assessmentsIn addition to providing psychometric testing for BHAC patients, Charmaine provides comprehensive testing services within organizations., which can be beneficial for recruiting, retaining and developing staff. Her dedication to humanitarian service has been recognized by the Lions Club, who awarded her the highest honor, making her a Melvin Jones Fellow of Lions International. Charmaine is a lifetime member of The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens in Grand Cayman. Charmaine is currently a board member of The Alzheimer’s & Dementia Association of the Cayman IslandsADACICharmaine is the mother of three adult children and enjoys extensive traveling.  

Janicka Ebanks

Patient Account Coordinator

Janicka Ebanks is the Patient Account Coordinator at BHAC, where she answers phones, checks in patients, schedules and confirms patient appointments, and coordinates with providers, insurers and pharmacies. Janicka’s efforts help to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all who visit the practice.  

 A graduate of John Gray High School, Janicka has a strong interest in mental health and enjoys listening to music in her free time.
